It is essential to know that a coach is not a medical or mental health professional and thus will not diagnose or provide information/ advice about medication and treatment.

Coaches work collaboratively with clients to set goals and create action plans with clear, manageable steps.

Executive functioning coaching is a specialised form of coaching that helps individuals improve their executive function skills. The main goal of executive functioning coaching is to provide personalised strategies and tools to enhance these skills, leading to improved performance and success in various areas of life, such as academics, work, and personal development.

While a formal diagnosis can provide valuable insights, it's not a requirement for benefiting from coaching. Coaching can help anyone experiencing attention and executive functioning challenges, whether diagnosed or not.

In a coaching session, you'll collaborate with your coach to set specific goals, explore challenges and develop practical strategies tailored to your needs. Your coach will help provide support and accountability to help you implement these strategies while allowing you to move towards creating your independent support systems and making meaningful progress.

Coaching program durations can vary based on individual goals and needs. Some programs span a few months, while others might extend longer. The frequency and duration of sessions are usually determined in collaboration with your coach. Initially, it is recommended that you consider giving yourself at least 3 months to see the benefits of coaching.

A complimentary initial consultation with a coach can help you determine if they are a good fit for you.

An ADHD coach typically holds relevant coaching training and certifications, such as from the International Coach Federation (ICF) and has undergone specific training related to ADHD coaching. Coaching sessions can vary in length from 45-60 minutes, depending on the topic the client wants to discuss. The first coaching session is typically longer, lasting around 90 minutes.
